VISCOPOL™ 1662E

VISCOPOL™ 1662E by allnex is an alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APE) free, general purpose and fine particle size styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion grade. It displays relatively tough but flexible film that is highly resistant to water and alkali.

It has been developed specifically as a binder for high-build coatings where exterior durability, adhesion and toughness are required.
When used in high-build coatings, it exhibits excellent pigment binding characteristics and exceptional mechanical properties, permitting the coatings to be applied by all conventional spray equipment systems including airless spray.
VISCOPOL™ 1662E based coatings exhibit excellent adhesion to degreased galvanized steel, both primed and unprimed.
Adhesion to iron, steel and many other substrates is also particularly good.
It includes textured finishes and trowel applied finishes.
It is used in metal primers and roof-tile repair coatings.
It has a shelf life of 12 months.
