Epotec® TW 5001

Epotec® TW 5001 by Aditya Birla Chemicals is an epoxy resin. It is an aqueous dispersion of liquid bisphenol A epoxy resin. The dispersion uses proprietary emulsifiers and is supplied at 60% solids in water. It has moderate viscosity containing no organic solvents and is completely water reducible. Contains internal emulsifier rather than external emulsifier. This built in emulsifier gives many advantages over externally emulsified products available on market in terms of improved stability, reduced water sensitivity and like. It can be formulated suitably into sizing for glass fiber manufacture which also improves further the adhesion and compatibility with the binder system used while making FR laminates. Epotec® TW 5001 can also be used to make protective coatings by curing with appropriate curing agents, in protective coatings for concrete and in fiber sizing.
