MAPICO™ Black (845)

Very fine, high-purity synthetic magnetite (Fe3O4) produced by precipitation to a cubical shape. High-tinting strength, permanent, non-bleeding and inert black pigments characterized by a blue tint. Replaces carbon blacks in formulations where floating or flooding is a problem. Shows stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation. Offers alkali, chemical and weather resistance. Designed for use in reprographic toner and other magnetic applications where consistent particle size and magnetic properties are required. Also used for coatings, paints, colorants and printing inks.
