Cobalt Blue 419

Cobalt Blue 419 by Huntsman is high-strength inorganic blue pigment. It is manufactured by calcination of cobalt and aluminum at processing temperatures above 1OOO°C. It meets ASTM C979-82 standards and therefore is suitable for use in concrete and concrete products. No visible effect after 1 hour in 5% HCI (acid) solution or 1 hour in 1% NaOH (alkali) solution. Getter than 8 on British wool scale for lightfastness and weatherability in Xenotest 150. Non bleeding in lacquer, aliphatic and aromatic solvents. Cobalt Blue 419 is color-stable up to 1OOO°C (1832°F), non migrating and offers maximum stability to weathering, fading, chemical and solvent exposure, thermal degradation as well as oxidation. Used in paint, powder coatings, surface coatings and inks.
