Hostatint™ SI Burnt Umber BU by Clariant is a red shade brown pigment dispersion based on a thermoplastic acrylic resin. It is engineered for exact color matching, reducing the time and cost related to batch-to-batch reformulations. Provides easy conversions from existing systems and color match transitions. Shows excellent reduction and full shade weather fastness of base pigment. Offers unparalleled compatibility, low VOC dispersion and very good sedimentation characteristic. Exhibits exceptional rheological properties that allows easy use in volumetric or manual tinting applications. It is compatible with 2K epoxy (100% solids, novolac, polyamide), alkyd including oil modified, 2K urethane (acrylic aliphatic and polyester), modified polyamine epoxy, modified aliphatic polyaspartic, nitrocellulose & pre-catalyzed lacquer and solvent-based acrylic stains & paints. Hostatint™ SI Burnt Umber BU is used in solvent-borne industrial, OEM, maintenance, marine, aerosol and other protective paints & coatings. It is suitable for producing or tinting RAL shades, OSHA safety shades and industrial point-of sale standard shades. It has a shelf life of 36-months.
