Lightfast orange pigment dispersion. Provides a broad color spectrum in a colorless, unsaturated, low-molecular-weight polyester resin containing no solvents or reactive monomers. It is formulated at maximum pigment loading to minimize the effects of the polyester vehicle on the coating film while maintaining a pourable colorant system. The tinting strength of this colorant is controlled to ±2% of the standard. The color difference is controlled to less than 0.8 CIELAB units with the individual color components (DA, DB, and DL) controlled to ±0.80 CIELAB units. Compatible with medium alkyd, nitrocellulose, acrylics, VT alkyd, polyesters, short-oil alkyds, functional vinyl, carboxylated vinyl, unmodified urethanes and oil-modified urethanes. Also compatible with alkyd urea, alkyd melamine, polyester melamine, polyester isocyanides, acrylic isocyanates and epoxy polyamides. It is designed for cross-linkable coatings and its plasticizing effect occurs at levels above 15% of total vehicle solids. Used for industrial maintenance, concrete protection, flooring and gel coats applications.
