PLASTICOLORS® GTS-070018 by Chromaflo Technologies is a low viscosity red color quinacridone pigment dispersion. It is designed for both volumetric and gravimetric dispensing. It allows for in-plant tinting operations. It is exceptionally easy to handle and reduces waste left over in containers. PLASTICOLORS® GTS-070018 contains no solvents or reactive monomers. It is heavy metal-free and produces high tint strength. It is dispersed in a low molecular weight unsaturated polyester resin. The unsaturation allows for cross-linking through double bonds as occurs in peroxide-cured polyesters or vinyl esters in the presence of a reactive monomer, such as styrene. When cross-linked or covalently reacted the GTS carrier resin is fully converted to a portion of the matrix solids. It is also compatible with acrylate monomers. It is used in polyester gel coats. It has shelf life of 24 months.
