Chroma-chem® 866-9494 by Chromaflo Technologies is a quinacridone violet colored pigment dispersion. It is developed for solvent-based alkyd coatings. It is based on a unique medium-oil alkyd vehicle that provides excellent wetting properties. It is designed specifically for non-aqueous industrial coatings, maintenance coatings and in various wood coatings for OEM and special purpose applications. It provide a wide-range of hues, good durability, light fastness and chemical resistance. It shows compatibility with alkyds (air-dry, bake, silicone, melamine, urea), lacquers (nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose), chlorinated rubber, polyurethane and epoxy esters. It is controlled to a tinting strength tolerance of ±2% by volume. It contains a carefully selected blend of vehicle, pigment and surfactants to provide acceptance in a wide range of solvent-based applications. It possesses a low-aromatic, fast-evaporating and Rule 66-type solvent. Chroma-chem® 866-9494 has a shelf life of 3 years.
