Blitz® Zinc Z2031

Zinc flakes. Due to their flake geometry as well as chemistry, huge advantages in formulating and substrate protection when used in protective coatings. Through the conversion of the base zinc metal into the higher-volume zinc oxide, the narrow paint pores are fully closed, as well there is a compression effect within the coating. Because of the lamellar shape of the pigments, the barrier, the compression, and the cathodic effects are distinct even at relatively low percentages. With Blitz® Zinc Flakes, even with thin coating thicknesses, very good corrosion protection is achievable. Provides lower sedimentation compared with zinc dust, greatly reduced pigmentation rate, therefore more flexible systems and thinner film thickness possible. Used in high heat resistant paints (exhaust pipes), aerosols, coil coating and primers.
