Sicomin® Red L 3230 S

Sicomin® Red L 3230 S by Sun Chemical (DIC) is an inorganic lead chromate molybdate sulfate pigment. It consists of mixed crystals consisting of lead chromate, lead sulfate and lead molybdate. It is not a mixture of lead chromate molybdate and lead sulfate and is, for stabilization purposes, coated with silicate and antimony compounds. The heat stability depends on the binder and solvent system used. It is used when the emphasis is on economy rather than fastness to light, weathering, and resistance to sulfur dioxide. It is particularly suitable as the sole colorant present, either in the full or reduced shades, as well as in combination with other pigments for producing oranges and greens. It possesses maximum fastness to light as well as weathering and resistant to industrial gases, dilute mineral acids. It has particularly low content of lead compounds soluble in hydrochloric acid. Sicomin® Red L 3230 S is used in industrial and automotive coatings.
