2-Ethylhexyl acrylate by Westlake Epoxy is a transparent, colorless, clear liquid. It can be copolymerized for instance with acrylic acid and its salts, esters and acrylamide, with methacrylic acid, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, styrene, maleic acid esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, butadiene, unsaturated polyesters. In order to prevent spontaneous polymerization, it must always be stored under air, never under inert gases. It is used primarily for manufacturing homopolymers and copolymers. 2-Ethylhexyl acrylate is an acrylic ester primarily used in coating applications.
