Dimer fatty acid based polyester polyol. Provides resistance to hydrolytic attack by moisture, alkali or acid and radical-type attack via heat, oxygen, UV and chlorine. Also provides adhesion to low-energy surfaces, very good flow properties, efficient substrate wetting, flexibility, good impact strength and good weatherability. Suitable for solvent-based and water-based systems. Offers very good solvent compatibility and good water flash off. Used as a high performance building block for polyurethane coating resins. Recommended for heavy duty coatings such as anticorrosion paints, offshore paints and paints for concrete, coatings on flexible substrates like plastic, textile, leather and wood lacquer.
