EBECRYL® 648

EBECRYL® 648 by allnex is a modified diacrylate ester of bisphenol A epoxy resin diluted with 25% of oligotriacrylate (OTA 480) diluting oligomer. It is characterized by its light color, fast cure response and improved pigment wetting. Films of EBECRYL® 648 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) exhibit high surface hardness, gloss and the excellent solvent resistance typical of an epoxy resin. It finds broad use in UV/EB applications, such as for lithographic and screen inks, overprint varnishes, wood sealers, coatings for paper, paperboard, wood, chipboard and rigid plastics. The shelf life of the grade is 2 years.
