DAOTAN® TW 7050/34WA

DAOTAN® TW 7050/34WA by allnex is an emulsifier-free, acrylic modified, high molecular weight polyurethane dispersion. It is an aqueous emulsion of an aliphatic urethane-acryl-hybrid. It provides shear stability and yields clear and crack-free films without any previous addition of solvents or paint additives. In conjunction with thickeners (especially layered silicates) it offers a unique viscosity behavior, i.e., already small additions of thickener cause a significant pseudo-plasticity. The basecoats are characterized by excellent thermal yellowing stability up to 200°C, outstanding appearance & bright metallic effects and excellent mechanical properties e.g., stone chip resistance properties. It also displays excellent adhesion to CED as well as ferrous- and non- ferrous metals (aluminum) in baking enamels (in combination with e.g., CYMEL® 303 or CYMEL® 327) and outstanding wet adhesion even in low bake applications. It shows excellent adhesion to a wide variety of plastic substrates (isocyanate crosslinked as well as non-crosslinked primer formulations) and very good outdoor durability. It is designed for premium quality, water-borne metallic basecoat formulations for automotive OEM and VR applications. The shelf life of DAOTAN® TW 7050/34WA is 450 days.
