40 Oil by aurorium is a polymerized castor oil. Acts as a plasticizer and adhesion promoter. Oxidative polymerization of castor oil at the double bond yields products with increased viscosities and decreasing solubility in aliphatic solvents, increasing compatibility with various resins and improving ability to wet and disperse pigments while imparting solvent and abrasion resistance to lacquer systems. 40 Oil is used in marking inks.
