It is a nanotechnology-enabled product with an efficient bactericide effect. This is a nanoparticle-based additive that has been developed as a prototype for certain specific paint applications, but it is in practice upgradable to any type of water-based polymer. Offers a proven and efficient anti-bacterial effect (qualitatively demonstrated using a Kirby-Bauer test on polymer sheets coated with antibacterial varnish and quantitatively by using the ISO 22196 standard test, that reports an antibacterial activity R > 2 – that means a reduction of bacteria over 99%). Also prevents the growth of mold, limiting also bad smell formation, conferring antibacterial properties to the treated surfaces. Suitable for water-based polyurethane paints, acrylic paints, water-based UV paints, polyester paints and water-based enamel. Other applications include painting surfaces for automatic vending machine for food or other (gas stations, toll booths, train tickets, etc.), public transportation, exercise and gym equipment, toys, games, furniture for public or private use.
