Calofort® S

Calofort® S by Specialty Minerals is precipitated calcium carbonate. Acts as an antisettling filler in solvent based paints and primers. Is a white stearate coated microcrystalline powder characterized by high surface area, controlled particle shape and high whiteness. Consists of fine calcitic crystals with an average particle size of 0.07μm. Due to its very small particle size, it has a tendency to form soft agglomerates. In printing inks Calofort® S is used as an extender and it may also contribute towards rheological properties.
