SONGSORB® CS 5100

SONGSORB® CS 5100 by Songwon is a decanedioic acid, bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-(octyloxy)-4-piperidinyl)ester, reaction products with 1,1-dimethylethylhydroperoxide and octane. It is a liquid HALS stabilizer based on an amino ether functionality. Its low basicity prevents possible interaction with acidic paint ingredients. It minimizes paint defects such as cracking for clear coats and chalking for pigmented paints. Significantly improves the weathering resistance and provides superior protection against gloss reduction, cracking, color change, blistering and delamination. Exhibits synergy with UVA and enables easy emulsification into water borne systems. Also provides significant improvement in coating performance. SONGSORB® CS 5100 can be used in automotive and industrial coating, decorative paint and wood stains or varnishes. It is listed on AICS, DSL, IECSC, NZIOC, PICCS, ELINCS, ECL and TSCA inventories.
