X-12-984S by Shin-Etsu is an epoxy chain type, multifunctional silane coupling agent by Shin-Etsu. It exhibits low volatile content due to this it can be used effectively in high temperatures at low dosage. It has many reaction sites for resins. It shows good film-forming properties and excellent compatibility with resins. X-12-984S contains trialkoxysilyl groups that provide improved adhesion. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings. It is recommended for heavy-duty (bridges, tanks & steel structure) and marine paints. It provides good heat-, weather- & water resistance. The dosage level of X-12-984S is 0.5-2.0%
