KR-517 by Shin-Etsu is an epoxy siloxane chain type, multifunctional silane coupling agent. It contains methacryloxy/methyl functional group. It can be used as a highly functional primer. It is partially hydrolyzed condensate. It exhibits film-forming property. It imparts weatherability and provides good adhesion, good heat-, & water resistance. It can be used effectively in high-temperature conditions at low dosage due to low volatile content. It can be used in solvent-based coatings, heavy-duty coatings and marine paints. The dosage level of KR-517 is 0.5-2%
