KP-106 by Shin-Etsu acts as a leveling agent. It shows low surface tension and surface migration. It is a high molecular weight, polyether-modified polysiloxane. It is used in water-based paints and coatings for surface modification and to prevent defects. KP-106 provides improved flow, smoother coating surface, reduced slip and improved wetting & spreading properties. It is TSCA listed. The dosage level of the grade is 0.01-2.0%.
