CeraSPERSE 174

CeraSPERSE 174 by Shamrock is synthetic wax and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compounded in refined linseed oil. Acts as a slip control agent and rub resistance agent. It is manufactured using a controlled crystallization process that allows the production of 1 micron wax dispersions. Its compounds have a translucent appearance with a shiny gloss and a creamy feel. Provides slip (Low COF), clarity, gloss retention and rub resistance properties. It has a soft rheology, and will easily and uniformly disperse in lithographic compositions at any stage of the ink processing. CeraSPERSE 174 by Shamrock can also be used in UV topcoats. Recommended dosage level is 4.0-6.0%. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180.
