White, highly dispersed barium sulfate extender. Manufactured from natural preclassified barium sulfate on special preparation lines. Is free of calcium carbonate, resistant to acids and alkalis, insoluble in water and organic solvents. Offers extremely high lightness, low yellow hue, lightfastness and weathering resistance. Provides extremely low electrical conductivity owing to special preparation process, and extremely good wettability owing to low specific surface area. Used for high quality primers, anti corrosion coatings, also in mastic compounds, latex paints, pigment preparations, floor coatings and in standard powder-coating systems where it enhances hiding power and permits partial replacement of pigments, significantly improving paint production costs.
