FASCAT® 4102

FASCAT® 4102 by PMC Group is a catalyst designed to synthesize saturated polyester resins for powder coatings and coil coatings. It is a pale yellow, hydrolytically stable butyltin tris-2-ethylhexanoate. It can also be used in in the production of aromatic polyester polyols for flexible and rigid PU foam applications. It primarily catalyzes polycondensation and esterification reactions at temperatures between 80-150°C. FASCAT® 4102 is neutral, non-corrosive, easy to handle and readily disperses in reaction mixtures. It is known to significantly shorten esterification cycle times compared to uncatalyzed systems. It can minimize side reactions such as ether formation from polyhydric alcohols.
