FASCAT® 2003

FASCAT® 2003 by PMC Group is stannous 2-ethylhexanoate, used as a gelling catalyst in the production of flexible slabstock polyurethane foam. It increases the rate of resin formation and the crosslinking speed in various coating applications. This additive catalyzes silanol condensation reactions with vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubbers being the primary segment. It is used for producing urethanes from the reaction of isocyanates and polyols. Also, used for the formation of esters from acids and alcohols. When it is absorbed on silica it can be used for urethane powder coatings for exterior applications. It is used in the production of oleochemicals. FASCAT® 2003 possesses FDA sanctions as a catalyst or cross-linking agent for the cure of epoxy resins in resinous or polymeric coatings in food packaging.
