ULTRANEX® NP 120

Nonylphenol 12 ethylene oxide (EO). Acts as a non-ionic surfactant and dispersant. In ULTRANEX® NP 120 the hydrophobic part of the molecule comes from nonylphenol and the hydrophilic part from the ethylene oxide chain. Increasing the degree of ethoxylation, increases the hydrophilic nature of the molecule (higher HLB), which alters solubility in water, foaming power, wettability and detergency. Used for polymerization in emulsions, pigment concentrates, varnishes, color pastes and water-based paints.
