Formaldehyde-free, modified, blocked glyoxal-based resin. Acts as a crosslinking agent. It offers advantages to coating formulators who require excellent high sheer rheology & viscosity and a broad pH range. It creates a coating structure that increases holdout of additional coating layers and promotes adhesion between the coating & pre-coat layers. It reduces water sensitivity and insolubilizes polyvinyl aceteate polyvinyl alcohol & starch. It exhibits increased half-tone dot definition, dot clarity, uniformity & visual snap also press runs are more efficient due to cleaner blankets and fewer wash-ups. Used in paper & board coatings and offset inks. The recommended use level is maximum 6%. It complies with U.S. FDA compliant with 21 CFR 176.170 & 21 CFR 176.180 regulations.
