Borchi® Gol LA 20

Polyether-modified polysiloxane in a blend of Solvesso 100/methoxy propyl acetate (9:1). Acts as levelling and wetting agent. Contains 50% active. Provides improved flow and levelling properties as well as enhanced substrate wetting. It quickly removes air bubbles from applied coated surfaces. Lowers the surface tension of a wide range of formulated systems and inhibits the formation of surface defects like craters, pin holes and Bénard cells. It also increases gloss and imparts less haze. Has good compatibility with chemically curing binders such as hydroxyl bearing acrylics and polyesters, polyester melamines, epoxies and certain UV systems. Controls surface levelling in air drying alkyd and acrylic finishes. Suitable for solvent borne coating systems. Application includes wood and general industrial coatings. The recommended dosage is 0.05 to 0.5 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder system and property which is being addressed. It is approved for food contact as per FDA CFR 21: § 175.300.
