Borchi® Gol LA 10

Pre-diluted polyether modified polysiloxane in xylene / isobutanol (4:1). Acts as a levelling agent. It lowers the surface tension of a wide range of formulated systems thereby improving flow and levelling. Inhibits the formation of surface defects like craters, pin holes and Bénard cells. Provides mar as well as scratch resistance, increased block resistance and improved final film appearance. Has good compatibility with chemically cured binders such as hydroxyl bearing acrylics and polyesters (e.g. Desmophen® from Bayer Material Science), polyester melamines and epoxies. It also controls levelling in air drying alkyd and acrylic finishes. Application includes general industrial coating. The recommended dosage is 0.1 to 0.3 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder system and property which is being addressed.
