Borchi® Gel 1430 by Borchers is a polyurethane based product. Acts as non-ionic high shear range associative thickener and rheology modifier. It is free of glycol ether, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO), HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants), tin compounds and VOC's. Provides good gloss, hide, stability and levelling properties. It develops rapidly and very effective high shear viscosities, yielding in Newtonian rheological profiles. Offers outstanding brush & roller application properties and increased color development & tint strength of pigments. This product has excellent compatibility with many types of low to medium shear thickeners such as HEUR, HASE, ASE, organic zirconium compounds (Borchi® Gel PN, Borchi® Gel NA) or cellulose ether. Suitable for waterborne coatings. Borchi® Gel 1430 is suitable for water reducible one- and two-component polyurethane and epoxy systems and solvent borne alkyd systems. It ideal for use in environmentally friendly coating systems. This grade is highly recommended for spatter resistant coatings, clear or pigmented concentrates and matte to high gloss decorative and industrial coatings. Typical usage levels are 0.5 - 4.0% of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the type and amount of binders, pigments and fillers used.
