TAFIGEL® PUR 45

Tafigel® PUR 45 by Munzing is a non-ionic polyurethane. Acts as an APE-, VOC- and solvent-free associative thickener. It builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. Aqueous paints with TAFIGEL PUR 55 show minimum pseudoplasticity, similar to rheology profiles of solvent borne lacquers. It can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners, as well as with cellulosic and acrylic thickeners. Advantages of using TAFIGEL PUR 55 include thickening independent of pH, excellent application properties, good flow, leveling & gloss, good brush drag and spatter resistance and good color acceptance on tinting. TAFIGEL PUR 55 is recommended for use in interior/exterior architectural paints, high gloss coatings, anti-corrosive paints, emulsion plasters and printing inks.
