CoatOSil™ Resin P501

CoatOSil™ Resin P501 by Momentive Performance Materials is a medium-hard phenylmethyl silicone resin. Acts as a corrosion inhibitor. It offers thermal stability up to 600°C. Recommended for the formulation of coatings for machine components, fire doors, engine manifolds, car exhaust silencers and drying units using one-coat finishes. It is partly compatible with the UD range and organic binders. It can also be used in multi-coat finishing systems for industrial plants. Dry tack-free coatings formulated with CoatOSil™ Resin P501 exhibit good mechanical and corrosion resistance and weather stability. It has a shelf life of 720 days.
