CoatOSil™ 2816

CoatOSil™ 2816 by Momentive Performance Materials is a blend of polyethylene oxide (EO), polypropylene oxide (PO) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Acts as mar resistance and slip agent. It has a linear methyl end-capped ABA molecular structure. Exhibits reduced coefficient of friction (COF), good compatibility with many resin systems and good recoatability. Shows a low tendency to foam and low shear mixing. Suitable for solvent-borne, water-borne and UV/ EB cured systems. Designed for coatings for wood, leather goods, industrial & auto refinishing, overprint varnishes and inks. The recommended dosage of CoatOSil™ 2816 ranges from 0.02-1%.
