Microspersion® 501

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Micro Powders
Microspersion® 501 by Micro Powders is an aqueous dispersion of a finely micronized blend of polyethylene and PTFE polymers combined with emulsified waxes. It has been formulated to provide a combination of optimum rub resistance, slip and hardness associated with micronized polyethylene/PTFE combinations, along with the gloss retention provided by wax emulsions. It has been found especially useful in high gloss waterbased OPV's where increased slip properties as well as heat resistance are required. Its unique properties eliminate the problems of "flotation" or "defoamer kickout" which is common when using other types of waxes in aqueous systems. Each of the components are designed to provide properties for maximum performance when incorporated into high gloss printing inks, paints and coatings. Microspersion® 501 is used in flexographic, gravure printing inks, can coatings, industrial paints, finishes and all types of water reducible overprint varnishes as well as topcoats.
