Micropro 400

Micropro 400 by Micro Powders is a modified, high melting point, hybrid polypropylene wax. Acts as an effective gloss control agent with good burnish resistance in low or medium gloss finishes. Offers improved mar-, scratch- and metal marking resistance along with a surface slip. The low density helps in keeping the silica matting additives in suspension. It exhibits anti-blocking properties and it is easy to disperse in both polar and non-polar systems. It is used in water-based, solvent-based and energy curable coatings and inks. Designed for wood-, powder-, floor-, interior and exterior can and container, industrial coatings (plastic, metal and leather), stains, sealers and varnishes. It is also suitable for printing inks and OPV's (including flexo and gravure). Micropro 400 has a recommended additional level of 0.5-2.0% in mar and abrasion resistance and 2.0-5.0% in gloss control.
