Propoxy propanol. Acts as a solvent. Is a colorless, flammable liquid with an ether-like odor. Has good coupling properties, solvent properties, chemical stability and low volatility. Also has very good coalescing properties and promotes stability in waterborne coatings. Is a good substitute for E-series solvents, EP (ethylene glycol propyl ether) and EB (ethylene glycol butyl ether). Used in agriculture, electronics, ink and textile products.
