Montmorillonite clay. Used as a thickening agent for a wide variety of waterborne coatings such as highly filled emulsion paints. Provides reproducible thixotropic behavior. Can be post added. Offers effective sag control, good antisettling properties, stability against bacterial decomposition. Exhibits low odor and no effect on drying or water release.
