Trixene® BI 7770

Trixene® BI 7770 by Lanxess is a cross-linking agent. It is a trixene blocked isocyanates pre-polymer. It differs from standard cross-linkers by incorporating a more labile blocking agent. The isocyanate type of product is toluene diisocyanate prepolymer and blocking agent is nonyl-phenol. Their main application is to improve the flexibility, elongation and impact resistance of epoxy coatings, without compromising chemical resistance. Trixene® BI 7770 is used to replace part of the epoxy resin component to achieve this desired increase in performance.
