SpeedCure BKL

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Lambson (Sartomer)
SpeedCure BKL by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-phenylacetophenone. Acts as a highly efficient, widely used, good general purpose, Type I photoinitiator. The radicals formed by an a cleavage mechanism rapidly initiate the photo-polymerization of suitable resin formulations. Exhibits fast cleavage reaction, high thermal stability and longer shelf life. Does not require presence of an amine synergist. Compatible with most pre-polymers, resins and monomers used in UV curing industry. Soluble in most organic solvents. Prevents quenching of the excited state by oxygen and selected monomers. SpeedCure BKL is used in wood lacquers, printing inks, overprint varnishes, and optical fiber coatings. Suggested levels of use are 0.5 – 5% w/w Speedcure BKL (quantities vary depending on individual formulations and applications).
