SpeedCure BEDB by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-butoxyethyl-4-(dimethylamino) benzoate. Acts as a liquid amine synergist. Exhibits good solubilizing properties, low toxicity, low odor and ability to initiate as a single liquid. When used in conjunction with Type II photoinitiators, generates free radicals capable of initiating the rapid photo-polymerization of suitable resin formulations. SpeedCure BEDB is used in wood varnishes, printing inks, overprint varnishes, decorative coatings for metal cans & food cartons. Suggested levels of use are 2 – 5% w/w Speedcure BEDB together with 0.25 – 3% w/w photoinitiator.
