SpeedBlock 1130

SpeedBlock 1130 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a a-[3-[3-(2H-Benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]-1-oxopropyl]-?-hydroxypoly(oxo-1,2-ethanediyl); a-[3-[3-(2H-Benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]-1-oxopropyl]-?-[3-[3-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl] -1-oxopropoxy]poly (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl) and polyethylene glycol. Acts as a UV absorber/light stabilizer. It may also be used together with other light stabilizers such as sterically hindered amines (HALS), examples of which are Speedblock 622, Speedblock 783, Speedblock 791, Speedblock 944 and Speedblock UV92. The combination of the two light stabilizers together can act synergistically and afford better protection than when using either component on its own. The product is miscible with all common solvents. Suitable for water borne and UV cured systems. SpeedBlock 1130 is developed for application in coatings, particularly used in industrial & automotive coatings, exterior surface coatings, metal coatings and wood coatings.
