DISPARLON® KS-281

Disparlon® KS-281 by Kusumoto is a blend of an amine salt of an acid functional polyester and a high molecular weight surfactant. Acts as an anti-flood/anti-float and wetting agent. Promotes pigment wetting and helps stabilizing multi-pigmented systems. Improves floating and silking by eliminating Bernard Cell Formation, levelling, which prevents pinholes and craters and adhesion to substrates & primers. Shows good compatibility with electrostatic spray coatings and offers improved recoatability on overbaked films. Can be used in a broad range of solvent-based coatings including automotive coatings, baking enamels, architectural and floor coatings. Disparlon® KS-281 is particularly recommended for acrylic melamine & alkyd melamine and is also effective in epoxy & urethane coatings. Typical dosage level ranges from 0.4 to 1.2% by weight of finished paint.
