Kane Ace™ MX-217

Kane Ace™ MX-217 by Kaneka is an easy to handle, toughening agent. It is a liquid impact modifier based on phenol novolac epoxy. It possesses highly improved strength, fracture toughness, consistent morphology and endurance without losing the heat resistant characteristics of thermoset resins. The dispersed core-shell rubber is polybutadiene rubber. It exhibits low viscosity compared to other existing tougheners and wide cure window. It exhibits T-peel strength, lap shear strength, no Tg depression and low ionic impurities. Kane Ace™ MX-217 finds application in coatings.
