OptiMat® 2040

OptiMat® 2040 by Imerys is a natural mineral products with low crystalline silica content. Acts as an ultra-efficient matting agent for deep matt decorative paints. Specially selected crude ore is refined and engineered, giving a product with a tight particle size distribution and characteristically shaped particles. This 3D structure results in highly diffuse light scattering, which translates to very low gloss and sheen levels in a coating. Possesses ultra-high matting efficiency, smooth surface texture, very good burnish and mar resistsnce, high paint whiteness, and good mudcrack resistance. Exhibits low density. OptiMat® 2040 is used for very low sheen deep matt finishes.
