MICA-MU™ M2/1

MICA-MU™ M2/1 by Imerys is a highly lamellar, micronized mica grade with 20 µm top cut. This speciality mineral of fine particle size and high performance is designed for solvent- & water-based coatings. It provides textured finishes and novel optical effects. This cost-effective and easy-to-formulate solution enhances adhesion, anti-cracking and improves UV protection in paints. It is recommended for decorative and industrial coatings in semi-gloss & eggshell, exterior and interior matt, traffic marking paints, metal primers, marine, anti-corrosion, heat resistant, intumescent, wood and floor applications. It offers superior barrier properties in stain-blocking primers with significantly limiting stain migration. MICA-MU™ M2/1 is used in stucco exterior matt.
