ACumist® A-45

ACumist® A-45 by Honeywell is a micronized oxidized polyethylene homopolymer. Used in thick film water based coatings. Acts as a surface texturing agent, to provide antislip properties in systems with higher film builds and as an external lubricant. It improves anti-blocking and release. ACumist® A-45 is one of a series of micronized oxidized polyethylene homopolymers with average particle sizes from 5 to 40 microns. It has the largest particle size in the series. Provides excellent toughness and outstanding abrasion resistance. Due to its high density it provides excellent antisettling and antifloating properties. It is highly compatible with aqueous-based systems and does not contribute to foaming. It is insoluble in solvents, UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. It has a larger size than ACumist® A-18.
