Sillitin® N 85

Sillitin® N 85 by Hoffmann Mineral acts as a functional filler. It is a natural combination of corpuscular silica and lamellar kaolinite, which can be used on its own or combined with other extenders or flatting agents. It has relatively low- yield point, abrasiveness & tendency to settle. Suitable for solvent-based-, solvent-free- & water-based systems, primers & fillers, varnishes, exterior & interior emulsion-, silicate- & industrial paints, and wood- & foil coatings.

• It is quick-drying and exhibits excellent dispersion properties & spacer effect in pigments.
• Sillitin® N 85 achieves good transparency with a low yellow tinge in unpigmented coatings.
• It possesses high solids content and high abrasion-, weathering- & scratch resistance.
• It provides a very good flatting effect, high filling ratio, good wet edge strength and breathability.
• It complies with the standards on basic foodstuffs of the BfR and FDA.
• The recommended metering level is up to 55% depending on the intended application.
