BI-792

BI-792 by GHEN MATERIALS is a blocked isocyanate. Acts as a crosslinking agent. It is non-ionic in nature, VOC-free, stable at room temperature, however dissociates to regenerate isocyanate functionality under the influence of heat. A temperature over 120°C is necessary to release the blocking agent. It exhibits excellent adhesion and is water-resistant. It can usually be added directly to waterborne formulations containing active hydrogen groups. When 10% zinc acetate water solution is added by 2.5-10% to BI-792, the dissociation temperature becomes approximately 20°C lower. BI-792 is suitable for use in coatings for wood, inks and waterborne coatings for metal.
