2,2-Dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone. Acts as a highly efficient photoinitiator which is used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers. Can be widely used after adequate testing for UV curable applications such as fillers, topcoats based on unsaturated polyester/styrene for the coating of wood and wood substitutes, inks as well as clear coatings based on acrylates for paper, metal and plastic materials.
