TEGO® Glide 494

Tego® Glide 494 by Evonik is an emulsion of a high molecular weight polydimethylsiloxane. It acts as a slip and anti-blocking agent. It provides very good slip and anti-blocking properties as well as good rub resistance in waterborne formulations. It offers clarity in varnishes. It creates a soft and slippery touch and is free of tin and aromatic solvents. It may not be diluted with organic solvents and is dilutable with water. It is used in inks, clear coat, pigmented and lacquer topcoat applications. Tego® Glide 494 recommended addition level is 0.1-5.0%. It is listed on AICS, DSL, ECL, EINECS, ENCS, IECSC, PICCS, TSCA, NZIOC and TCSI chemical inventories. It has a shelf life of at least 12 months.
